Yoga, Meditation, Classes and Practices
.
Practices for Every Body. Every Season. Every Journey.
At Nova Holistic Wellness, we believe there is no single practice that works for everyone, all the time. What supports you today may not be what you need six months from now. Your body changes. Your energy changes. Life changes.
That is why our studio offers a growing range of yoga, movement, meditation and wellness practices designed to meet you where you are, and support you as you move through different seasons of your life. You might come to yoga to reconnect with your body, discover movement that feels good, build strength, find stillness, calm your nervous system, or simply have an hour that belongs entirely to you. There is no expectation that you stay in one lane.
Explore. Try something new. Find what feels right for you.
Yoga
Our intention is to create a space where women feel welcome, supported and free to find a practice that complements their own journey.
Yoga that meets you where you are. Always.
This isn’t the kind of yoga that demands perfection or expects you to fit a mould. Our teaching is rooted in lived experience and years of training, designed to make yoga accessible, inclusive and empowering for every body, especially those who have often felt left out of traditional yoga spaces.
We understand what it is like to feel uncomfortable, intimidated or unseen in a class. That is why we teach from a place of compassion, not comparison. Whether you live in a bigger body, are navigating a life transition, are healing from difficult experiences, or are simply new to the mat, you are deeply welcome here.
Our classes prioritise:
• Body-positive language
• Trauma-informed guidance
• Supportive variations and props
• Choice and autonomy
• Permission to rest, modify or do less
• A space where you can practise without judgement
Classes and offerings are subject to change. Please check our online booking system for the current schedule and to secure your space.
More Than Yoga
Movement can be a powerful way to reconnect with yourself, but movement doesn’t have to look one particular way. Alongside our yoga classes, Nova offers a growing selection of movement practices so that you can find something that supports your body, energy and life as it is right now.
Our offerings may include practices that support strength, mobility, balance, flexibility, coordination, mindful movement and overall wellbeing. The schedule will continue to evolve as new teachers, practices and offerings become part of the Nova community.
You don’t have to choose one practice forever.
Try something different. Come back to something familiar. Follow what your body needs.
The intention is simply to help you find movement that feels supportive, sustainable and good to be in.
Meditation & Stillness
In amongst the movement, there is also space to simply stop. Meditation, guided practices and Yoga Nidra are woven into the Nova experience, offering moments to pause, breathe and reconnect with yourself.
Our meditation offerings are intuitive, grounded and often woven with poetry, creating space to soften the noise of everyday life and return to your inner world.
From candlelit Yoga Nidra evenings to our free monthly Midweek Mindful Check-In, these practices are created to be accessible and nurturing, whether you are completely new to meditation or have an established practice.
Guided Meditation & Yoga Nidra can support:
• Deep rest and relaxation
• A quieter, more settled mind
• Greater body and self-awareness
• Creating space away from constant doing
• Reconnecting with yourself and what you need
• Cultivating presence and self-trust
Meditation may be woven into a movement class or offered as a dedicated session. Check the current schedule for what is coming up.
Wellness Experiences
Sometimes what you need isn’t another class. Throughout the year, we offer special wellness experiences and gatherings that invite you to slow down, connect and experience your wellbeing in a different way.
These may include sound journeys, women’s circles, Yoga Nidra evenings, workshops, seasonal gatherings and other special offerings. This part of the Nova offering will evolve over time, allowing us to respond to our community and create experiences that feel meaningful, nourishing and relevant.
Meet our Heart Led Teachers
Our teachers each bring their own experience, knowledge and way of supporting the body, mind and wellbeing. Together, they create the diverse and welcoming range of practices offered at Nova Holistic Wellness.

Josie Helena
Josie Helena
Jo’s work sits at the intersection of energy, intuition and self-understanding. She is a qualified Kuan Yin Qigong instructor and intuitive practitioner, with a particular interest in how ancient practices can be brought into ordinary modern life.
Her approach is grounded, curious and exploratory. Alongside Qigong and energy work, she draws on mindfulness, embodied practice, astrology and intuitive perception. Her work invites you to slow down, become more aware of what is happening within you, and explore practices that can support greater balance and connection in everyday life.
Away from this work, Jo has spent nearly two decades working in technology and communications and is currently a PhD researcher in digital anthropology. She is also a First Dan black belt in Shotokan Karate.
This combination of experiences shapes the way she practises and teaches: curious about what we don’t yet fully understand, while remaining interested in what is useful, observable and applicable in real life.

Kuan Yin Qigong
Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) is an ancient Chinese mind-body practice that uses movement, breath and attention to work deliberately with the body’s energy and internal state.
Some of what happens in Qigong is easy to describe in familiar terms: slower breathing, greater body awareness, focused attention, improved coordination and a calmer nervous system.
It is an incredibly accessible practice, with movements that can be adapted to different bodies, ages and abilities. Regular practice may support strength, balance, flexibility and mobility, while helping to reduce stress and support overall wellbeing.
Jo’s classes offer an opportunity to explore Qigong in a grounded and approachable way, bringing together movement, breath and attention to help you connect more deeply with your body and internal state. You don’t need any previous experience with Qigong. Simply come as you are. https://app.octivfitness.com/widget/schedule?publicToken=484fdca949d317ed0b79da07840eb4316eb59309
